ADVOCACY
Our specialised mental health advocacy service is of vital importance
in relation to our clients getting access to services, dealing with
housing issues, social security issues and relationships with health
care professionals.
Our advocacy
service is highly confidential. Our aim is not to make decisions
on our clients behalf, but to inform and provide clients with balanced
information.
|
Our aim
is to help clients regain their own power and speak for themselves
- we only speak on their behalf if specifically requested to do
so. Our advocates will support people who speak for themselves.
The advocacy services works within the law and respects established
codes of practice and complaints procedures.
To date,
we have handled ove 100 cases and there have been an urgent demand
